This week in class we worked on our WPBD bridge designs. We compared designs and analyzed trying to make each others designs cheaper, stronger, and more efficient. We came across some problems with force and compression ratios. We were able to help each other fix these problems. In week 3 we will be taking the best parts of each of our designs and trying to make one really good bridge design.
For week's 3 class we were asked to prepare three questions for Mr. Jay Bhatt that are specific to bridges for which we think he may provide assistance finding useful resources. Each group member was also required to submit their result of the west point bridge design......Comment by George Varghese
ReplyDeleteIn the prior weeks, we had our blog set up and was introduced to West Point Bridge Designer. Then in week 2, we listened to our professor lecturing about the best and worst bridge designs. We learned that it is essential for a bridge to include interconnected triangles to give it the stableness. After that, we started to design our own bridges and discussed with each other about the design constrains.
